A rare and fantastic opportunity has presented itself for an Executive Manager Safety and Wellbeing Business Partnering, reporting to the Executive General Manager Safety Wellbeing and Sustainability where you will join the Safety, Wellbeing and Sustainability function.

A bit about your role

The Executive Manager, Safety & Wellbeing (Business Partnering) will lead the Business Partnering Practice within the Safety, Wellbeing & Sustainability function.

This position will oversee a nationwide team of business partners to assist nbn’s Business Units in advancing major programs, capital projects, safety culture, capability development, risk prevention management plans, and providing support for work health safety and environmental practices. The team aims to align with the overall future goals of nbn. This role is fully accountable for national operational partnerships and will significantly interact with nbn's enabling functions, internal workforce, delivery partners, and regulators.

The role will be required to partner with Business Unit Senior Leadership Teams, Management Teams and nominated representatives to develop strategic plans in line with business objectives. The role will have full accountability for the development and execution of Business Unit management strategies and plans ensuring consistency of approach and message across business units and aligned with the enterprise risk framework and critical risk reduction. In addition, the role will perform a national advisory function to both strategic/national governance forums, industry forums, and liaison with regulators.

A bit about you

If this sounds like the role for you, it’s likely that you have a tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience; or significant experience in a similar role leading, establishing, and managing corporate Safety and Wellbeing teams in an operational environment.

You will likely have a deep understanding of legislative obligations, relevant Australian Standards, Codes, and relevant stakeholder requirements. Demonstrated experience managing contractors; coupled with excellent written communication and attention to detail.

Furthermore, you will have the ability to lead, promote and maintain consistency of Safety compliance and risk management practices across the business. You will have the ability inspire people, lead and influence operational stakeholders to initiate and drive change.
