Working as part of the Electronic Solutions team, and under the supervision of the Technical Lead, the Graduate Software Engineer will undertake software design and development activities as an integral member of engineering project teams.
As Graduate Software Developer, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:
- Undertake software system design and development activities and software unit integration testing;
- Undertake tasks within allocated timeframes;
- Facilitate collaboration with RDA staff and clients;
- Identify and pursue ongoing personal development opportunities;
- Maintain strict confidentiality
- Comply with RDA policies and improvements
- Contribute to business improvement/quality programs and enterprise risk management activities
- Ensure your conduct is at all times professional, reputable and in accordance with the philosophy and direction of RDA
About your new team
This position will be a key member of the close knit Electronic Solutions team, with exposure to programs such as Land 400, and DSTG R&D activities working in the areas of Machine Learning, Deep Learning and imagery analysis.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
- Edibility and willingness to meet Australian Department of Defence security clearance requirements;
- Understanding of the secure software development lifecycle;
- Experience using programming languages and technologies such as Python, C++, Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, or PHP;
- Exposure to object oriented design methodologies;
- Exposure to SQL;
- Experience working with multiple operating systems e.g. Windows, Linux;
- Ability to travel internationally and interstate, when required; and
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).
