THE PROJECT

Construction of a Poultry Processing Plant consisting of circa 38,936m2 of Gross Floor Area providing for storage, processing, chilling, cold store, and distribution facilities

  • 1,600m2 workshop and store building.
  • 3,791m2 of ancillary administration, staff amenities
  • Expanded Wastewater Treatment Plant
  • Construction of a new access driveway via an easement connecting to Armstrong Street via Workshop Lane
  • Construction of a new staff car parking area providing 820 car parking spaces.
  • Site landscaping and screening vegetation


THE ROLE
  • Review and interpret contract services drawings and specifications to ensure a full understanding of the project requirements
  • Review Tender Proposals for services trades to identify any further potential in relation to material, equipment, resources, cost and time
  • Develop scopes for consultants based on the Project Briefs and Contract Requirements
  • Tender Consultant Services and prepare Consultant Agreements to appoint suitable project consultants in accordance with Contract requirements
  • Liaise with the CA and PM for contract administration procedures to manage claims, securities, variations and other contractual matters relating to services consultants
  • Identify key services design and delivery issues and risks and prepare mitigation and resolution strategies
  • Investigate services design alternatives and cost saving options which achieve key project objectives
  • Determine composition of services consultancy team for each project
  • Develop the services Design Program in conjunction with the Consultants and [Senior] Project Managers and in accordance with the Procurement and Construction programs
  • Manage the services inputs and outputs against program through design meetings
  • Manage buildability with RCC Project teams
  • Resolve and manage detailed services design with a keen eye for opportunity to improve project outcomes.
  • Coordinate the services design documents to ensure the designed product meets the needs of the project
  • Manage the services consultant design documents so that they comply with specified requirements
  • Assist the Project Manager in negotiating Subcontractor packages to ensure full coverage against the Scope of Works required.
  • Prior to distribution, review Subcontractor Agreements to ensure that special conditions
  • Plan and manage commissioning and Handover as require with the Test & commissioning team
  • Maintain relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors to drive effectiveness, quality, cost and timeliness of materials and service arrangements
  • Manage the interaction with all project stakeholders (client, consultants, authorities, and neighbours) in a manner that maintains positive relationships
