The opportunity:
Our Security and Technology Solutions team is seeking qualified IT Procurement Specialists, to join our team to support our Defence client in a large upcoming project. If you have an NV1 Defence Security Clearance, and would like to register your interest, please apply here with your updated CV.
This role is based in Canberra.
Key responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Strategically plan IT procurements aligned with Defence goals
- Evaluate and select vendors, negotiate contracts
- Ensure compliance with regulations and security standards
- Identify and mitigate cybersecurity and supply chain risks
- Develop and manage IT procurement budgets
- Oversee contract lifecycle and vendor performance
- Evaluate emerging technologies for Defence applications
- Collaborate with stakeholders and communicate effectively
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Ensure security and confidentiality of procurement information
About you

- Demonstrated capability to develop and execute strategic plans aligning IT procurements with the defence organisation's objectives
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Prior experience in Defence capability and sustainment would be ideal
- Proficiency in evaluating and negotiating contracts with vendors to ensure the best value and service for the organisation.
- A strong understanding of procurement regulations and security standards
- Skill in identifying and mitigating cybersecurity, supply chain, and other risks associated with IT procurement.
- Effective communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Awareness of security protocols and the importance of safeguarding sensitive procurement information and assets
Must have at minimum a NV1 Defence Security Clearance.
