The role:
Are you a highly skilled and experienced professional in Electrical Compliance looking for an exciting opportunity to lead and manage a team? We have an excellent position available for an Electrical Compliance Manager at our Garden Island location in Sydney. As the Electrical Compliance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all electrical work across our AWS sites is conducted in strict adherence to safety regulations and industry standards.
Responsibilities will include:
Ensuring all electrical work undertaken across AWS sites complies with The Safe Work Australia Code of Practice for Managing Electrical Risks in the Workplace and state regulations.
Maintaining up-to-date and comprehensive OQE (Operational Quality and Environmental) records for all electrical work.
Managing teams of supervisors, tradespeople, and trades assistants to deliver maintenance and installation tasks on vessels and facilities.
Conducting ongoing employee procedure training and refreshers.
Conducting site audits to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Managing Electrical Risks in the Workplace Code of Practice and state regulations.
Reviewing and updating procedures annually to ensure continuous improvement.
Monitoring compliance with scheduled audits and driving improvements.
Ensuring that the electrical team's resources are appropriately allocated and have the required competencies and qualifications.
Actively managing team and individual performance, addressing any issues within acceptable time frames.
Ensuring that tooling, equipment, and facilities utilized by the electrical team are fit for purpose and compliant.
How about you?
Highly effective leadership skills with a proven track record of managing teams.
Electrical Trade qualification with a current Electrical Licence as a nominated qualified supervisor.
Demonstrated strong knowledge of requirements as per applicable Australian Standards.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and effectively communicating requirements to various stakeholders.
Strong analytical, literacy, and numerical skills with excellent computer skills and knowledge of databases and spreadsheets.
