About the Job


An exciting role has become available within our senior leadership team at Transdev Sydney Ferries. Based in our corporate office in Barangaroo this is a unique leadership opportunity to make a significant impact on the future success of our business. As the GM Finance and Commercial you will lead and direct the corporate service function of TDSF through managing efficient and robust financial solutions, ensuring effective internal financial controls, and reporting financial analysis and data from systems to facilitate the delivery of a highly efficient and cost effective ferry transport service.


You will play a pivotal role in the leadership of the strategic planning process and execution of the plan whilst managing key relationships to support the objective of the process.


Managing a small, close knit team of finance professionals, you will provide guidance and mentorship on best practice solutions to your team to deliver a safe and customer service focussed ferry service.


About you


This role will suit someone with extensive senior executive management experience in a public or private sector organisation preferably in the transport, financial, construction or customer service industries. Someone with strong commercial knowledge and people management skills will be invaluable to providing the leadership and strategic approach necessary to continue building a high performing TDSF team.


You will have Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Business Management, Economics, Commerce or an equivalent discipline. Be a member of the Australian Society of CPA Australia or international equivalent is essential.
