We are looking for a highly experienced & collaborative Director of Connection Services to join LUMEA™, a Transgrid Group brand focused on renewable energy solutions in the competitive energy market. This role will see you advocate and own the connections workstream on behalf of the Lumea Group

In your new position you will direct and drive the delivery of customer connection requests, through sponsorship and ensure the delivery against Lumea’s strategic objectives. You will optimise resource planning and allocation to meet portfolio milestones and exceed service level targets across the Lumea portfolio. You will ensure all connection requests are handled efficiently across the asset life cycle developing connection strategies that meet customer’s requirements from a technical perspective, while working in coordination with the Network Planning and Operations team, the Lumea team, and the Project Development team.

You will be a passionate and driven with extensive experience in developing strategy using your industry expertise building credibility with your stakeholders quickly. As well as balancing priorities that will deliver improved outcomes for customers and the business you will continuously drive agility and flexibility in responding to market and industry changes.

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or equivalent extensive industry knowledge and experience
  • Extensive proven experience gained in the transmission, distribution, or electricity generation industries
  • Extensive proven experience in negotiating and delivering network connections
  • Highly developed proven experience and capability to lead multi-disciplinary matrixed teams
  • Extensive experience in technical advice for range of projects including complex projects with high external visibility
  • Advanced interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills (oral and written) to provide specialist technical and commercial advice to senior leadership
  • Advance understanding of the NER, NEM, AEMO and AEMC requirements and functions
  • Highly developed proven experience to collaborate and engage with internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly developed proven experience in project managing customer requirements and requests
  • Demonstrated commercial, contract management skills and experience
  • Experience with system planning, modelling studies and integration of new system generation and loads
  • Understanding of substation and lines construction including estimate duration and costs
  • Experience with integration of non-scheduled and renewable energy generation to large scale grids
