About the role

The Facilities Maintenance Planner / Scheduler role will lead the detailed planning and scheduling of scope throughout the work order lifecycle.

About you

Key accountabilities for this role are as follows\:

  • Accountable for developing, communicating and reporting work scope, plans, materials, resources and associated risks to generate accurate job packages for execution and contingency works.
  • Responsible to ensure all aspects of identifying, investigating, preparing, and mitigating scope risk associated with detailed planning and job package development. To work closely with the discipline engineers, maintenance coordinators and specialists to ensure the requested scope is clear and concise to safely and effectively plan and job pack the works.
  • Provide scope estimates, accurate scope activity steps, resources and duration build outs. Identify associated risks, materials, tooling and associated procedures, drawings, datasheets and documentation. These details will be uploaded and developed into SAP work orders and into the job package format including permit requests.
  • Perform schedule creation and optimization, to effectively schedule works in an executable manner, including revision as required to include changes to scope, availability or strategy
  • A participant in HAZIDS and SIMOPs reviews.
  • Ability to plan/schedule multiple projects concurrently (planning, scheduling)
  • Strong skills for conceptualizing and analysing priorities and plan conflicts
  • Has planning, scheduling, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication - both written & oral presentation skills
  • Encourages creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Possesses experience in leadership
  • Able to develop strong stakeholder relationships and networks
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • LNG or related industry experience
  • Relevant Trade Certificate for buildings related services
  • Technical Diploma / multiple Trade Certificate preferred
  • A thorough understanding of planning and execution activities
  • Experienced in the use of process flow diagrams, Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID), schematics, piping drawings, fabrication drawings, isometrics, equipment datasheets, sketches, charts, etc
  • Prior relevant experience in a related heavy or complex processing industry on large mechanical equipment including rotating drives, centrifugal pumps, reciprocating compressors and pumps, utility compression equipment, piping systems

Desirable/Preferred Skills

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a major Oil and Gas facility
  • Industry related certificates or qualifications
  • Exposure to facilities maintenance techniques and best practices
  • Demonstrated understanding of Australian standards and best operating practices
  • High Proficiency in the use of SAP planning and scheduling functions
  • 5 years’ experience in asset management systems / project management systems
