About the role

As the Program Support Officer, you are integral to the success of V/Line's People & Integrity Group. This opportunity will provide you with valuable insights into Victorian Rail and jumpstart your rail career.



You will oversee the daily operations of V/Line's Learning Hub, handle bookings, manage the front desk and provide administrative support to V/Line's enterprise RTO



Key Accountabilities include:

  • Day-to-day Operations: Efficiently manage the daily operations of the Learning Hub, including maintaining bookings, actioning maintenance requests and setting up required training equipment
  • Customer-Focused Service: Dedication to delivering outstanding service to all learners, facilitators, and visitors to the Learning Hub
  • Resource Management: Identify and resolve maintenance issues to ensure the learning environment meets prescribed safety standards
  • RTO Administration: Provide administrative support to the RTO, including assistance with reformatting documentation on Microsoft Word

Our ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Demonstrated alignment to V/Line's values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Familiarity with reception or administrative operations (desirable)
  • Certificate III in Business Administration (desirable)



On-site Requirements

We are seeking candidates who are open to working from our Learning Hub in Melbourne CBD. This is a full-time role with the core hours from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. While the preference is for candidates to be on-site five days a week, there may be flexibility to adopt a hybrid working arrangement.

Remuneration for this position will be in paid up to Clerk C3 ($89,269) EA Rate plus Leave Loading and Superannuation in line with the V/Line Rail Operations and Administrative Employees Agreement.
