Who are the GO-Tech team?

GO-Tech (Global Operations Technologies) are part of the Warner Bros. Discovery Technology group and are responsible for the software and hardware solutions which run physical operations, globally. Their area of focus encompasses four main pillars:

  • Tours & Retail

  • Studio Operations

  • Physical Security

  • Global Real Estate

This role sits within the Physical Security pillar, which supports the security systems such as Access Control, CCTV, and Threat Monitoring, throughout WBD locations worldwide.

The Role

The Product Manager for the Physical Security portfolio will be responsible for the successful delivery of applications, from inception and planning through to design, build, delivery and ultimately transition to support.

Other core responsibilities include leading and collaborating with project teams, 3rd party implementation partners, and technical teams on a diverse range of major capital projects and smaller initiatives.

To the Business stakeholders, your role will be that of a trusted partner; To the Tech teams, you will be a motivating project lead, providing structure and strong guidance throughout project lifecycles. The role requires a range of skills, involving technical understanding, business analysis concepts and workstream management.

This a great opportunity to excel in a fast-paced environment, encompassing a varied range of security applications. You will have the chance to focus on initiatives within numerous business areas, across multiple international sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage full project lifecycles, within agreed delivery timelines and budget,

  • Champion business change in alignment to project strategy, to enable high solution adoption,

  • Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to the project roadmap and backlog for our portfolio,

  • Contribute to business process & gap analysis exercises, in preparation for project formation,

  • Work with the business teams to identify key capability needs and identify potential issues,

  • Excellent stakeholder management and sustainment of outstanding business partner relationships,

  • Assertively manage challenging conversations, maintaining transparency and trust with high-demanding business leaders,

  • Maintain understanding of changing business needs and the subsequent impact on process or technology.

Prior Experience

  • Proven prior experience of successfully implementing and managing technology projects is crucial to this role.

  • Experience in security systems, including but not limited to access control, CCTV, videowall solutions, and PSIM systems is highly desirable, as is a willingness to learn new technologies and keep abreast of advancements in the security technology landscape.

  • A solid understanding of complex application ecosystems with dependencies on system integrations is highly desirable.

  • Prior experience in multi-geography implementations would be valuable, due to the global and diverse nature of our portfolio.

What Else?

  • Able to develop an in-depth understanding of the business and effectively apply that knowledge to project planning and analysis,

  • Ability to convert a project and solution vision into a concrete strategy,

  • Understand Business Processes & Requirements in-depth and effectively apply them to appropriate technical solutions,

  • Drive gap-analysis exercises where necessary and develop process flows for to-be state,

  • Develop the end-to-end project plan, across multiple business units,

  • Develop cost estimates, capturing underlying assumptions,

  • Track project spend against budget, across workstreams,

  • Track consolidated Risk, Issues, and Action Items logs,

  • Responsible for BU Stakeholder Management and comms throughout project phases,

  • Ensure team readiness and manage the execution of integration, cutover and roll-back activities,

  • Ensure projects adhere to WM Compliance, Cyber Security and Data Privacy policies,

  • Assist in 3rd party vendor contract (e.g. SOW and MSA) reviews

  • Assist in preparation of executive communications,

  • Assist with review of current technology Service Desk/Help Desk support systems and determine requirements for Support Transition,

  • Miscellaneous: manage project documentation and file repositories; document lessons-learned and best practices; provide meeting minutes, as well as manage the action item follow up.

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
