Work Designation. Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote.

  • If you live within 50 miles of Columbus, GA, or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means that you will be expected to work at an Aflac office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home within the continental US for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.

  • If you live more than 50 miles from Columbus, GA, or Columbia, SC, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions when you are requested to come to the office based on business needs. Any requests to come to the office will be communicated to you in advance.

What does it take to be successful in this role?

  • Familiarity with IT Services contract types including outcome based, managed services, time and materials, core-flex, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of supplier performance management techniques, methodologies and best practices.
  • Expert knowledge employing advanced end-to-end strategic sourcing processes, practices and tools to large, complex spend categories.
  • Ability to operate simultaneously and effectively in both tactical and strategic modes.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Skilled analytical thinker with the ability to identify, prioritize, and resolve various complex operational issues.
  • Meticulously manage and maintain organization-level document repositories for compliance and record-keeping.

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field
  • Five or more years of IT contracting, IT professional services, IT managed services or IT vendor management experience
  • Demonstrated experience with project management methodologies, practices, techniques, and tools

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides reporting on vendor performance, including non-compliance, and makes recommendations for vendor performance improvement; conducts root cause analysis as needed
  • Conducts supplier risk assessments and monitors vendor performance to ensure they meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements
  • Monitors and reports on the vendor sourcing life cycle, including spend analytics, supply market analysis, supplier evaluation and selection, contracting, supplier risk and performance management, and contingent labor management
  • Manages financial contracts through tracking, monitoring reconciliations, and auditing
  • Identify, develop, and qualify sourcing opportunities based on spend, value opportunity, risk, and resource availability
  • Reviews Vendor Contracts and pulls deliverables and obligations as needed
  • Collaborates with internal leaders to develop procurement requirements
  • Assist ITVM Office and Business Partners in contract management from award to completion or termination
  • Contributes to continuous improvement of sourcing processes, tools, and methodologies
  • Performs other duties as required

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate. The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $140,000.
