We're hiring a Certification Developer with testing industry experience to develop high-stakes technical Certifications for the Atlassian Certification Program. In this role, you will collaborate across the Atlassian Community & Learning team on varied projects that further the team's vision to improve product adoption and provide tangible value and career advancement to our learners.
What you'll do
- Design, Develop, and maintain high-stakes, proctored certification exams for Atlassian roles, products, and solutions. Ensure these exams meet the target roles/ competencies and program requirements.
- Run job task analysis (JTA) workshops, curate exam blueprints, conduct item writing workshops (IDW), exam form creation, and other certification development tasks according to testing industry and Atlassian best practices.
- Recruit, train, and retain a subject matter expert pool for curating technically and psychometrically sound test items. Run IDWs with SMEs to develop items, forms, and cut scores.
- Using psychometric analysis, ensure the quality of the items and exams are healthy and performing as needed according to program standards.
- Assist in developing additional certification materials, including exam guides, certification web pages, sample test items, and guided exam prep journeys.
- Stay on top of the transformation of Atlassian roles, products, & solutions to keep our certifications aligned and up to date.
- Establish strong working relationships with cross-functional teams across Community, Learning, product, and more.
- Join collaborative projects that are meaningful across the wider Learning team and provide guidance on exam design, development, and delivery to the team.
Your background
- You have 3 to 5 years experience developing high-stakes certifications, experience within the tech industry is a plus.
- You hold deep expertise in developing legally defensible exams, psychometrics, and consistently meet deadlines.
- You have experience in data-driven decision making, psychometric analysis experience is plus.
- You are comfortable using different forms of testing & item bank software and have experience in retaining pools of subject matter experts.
- You thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, environments and are innovative, creative, and like to experiment.
- You have experience in stakeholder management, are a strong collaborator, and are skilled in project management
Nice to Haves:
- Atlassian Product Experience
- Experience working in scrum
- Degree in Adult Education, testing, or Psychometrics. PhD Preferred.
Compensation
At Atlassian, we tie our base pay ranges to role and level. In the United States, that means your base pay ranges will fall into one of three geographic pay zones depending on your location. Our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $106,000 - $141,300
Zone B: $95,400 - $127,100
Zone C: $88,000 - $117,300
Within each range, base pay is ultimately determined based on your skills, expertise, and experience. This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and/or equity.
