Senior Engineering Manager, BYOK

Enterprise Encryption Pillar is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Encryption organization's engineers in the US with multiple scrum teams and workstreams spread across various time zones in the US. You will be working closely with a sister team in Australia. This is a remote position. To help our teams work together, you should be comfortable covering the working hours in the PST time zone.

You'll be part of our growing encryption pillar teams, continuing our mission of onboarding customers to the cloud with complete confidence their data is protected by their own keys. Your team will be designing, building, and operating micro-services and capabilities that handle billions of API requests daily to protect our customers' data using encryption technologies confidently.

  • Understand the space of enterprise software and data protection using encryption well.

  • Experience working in cloud enterprise software

  • 5+ years of software development management experience, managing a team of 15-plus engineers

  • Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies (for example, XP, scrum).

  • Demonstrated experience mentoring growing teams toward talent retention

  • Contribute to the technical and business strategy of the team

  • Experience in modern, object-oriented, distributed systems, and still skilled in programming.

  • Experience in driving automation and testing involving integration across multiple systems of different maturities

  • Leadership in operational excellence with internet-scale distributed system using AWS

  • Experience in collaborating across teams with different time zones

Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $205,800 - $274,400

Zone B: $185,200 - $246,900

Zone C: $170,800 - $227,700

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
