Your Background

  • 4-6 years of product design experience

  • Extensive experience in Product Design organizations, working closely with Product and Engineering partners

  • An outstanding portfolio, showcasing a foundation in interaction and visual design, idea generation, and product sense.

  • Experience with balancing the big picture with meticulous attention to detail.

  • User-centric thinking: You dive deep into audience needs, test hypotheses, and measure the magic you create.

  • Bridge between user needs, business objectives, and technical possibilities, experience to influence xfn decisions via design and user-led methodologies, in order to drive the team’s core metrics.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and storytelling skills.

  • Collaboration is in your DNA, and you lead by example in a rapid growth environment.

  • Huge plus if you’ve worked with remote teammates and understand the communication patterns of working with highly distributed teams.

  • A learning mindset: We deliver user value iteratively and quickly, and respond to the needs of our users and business. Our team size and our design process will evolve as we strive to continuously improve, iterate, and integrate what we learn — from our work and with each other.

  • Experience with prototyping as a means to explore and convey design solutions.

  • Empathy and resilience: empathy for our customers, to build a product and a service they’ll love. Empathy for our coworkers, to build a workplace we’ll love. Resilience to be able to take feedback from anywhere, consider it gracefully, and fold it into your thinking and work.

Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $160,300 - $213,700

Zone B: $144,300 - $192,300

Zone C: $133,000 - $177,400
