Atlassian helps teams everywhere to change the world through the power of software and we are looking for a Systems Engineer for Atlassian's Trust Systems Engineering Team. This team is responsible for building, deploying, and operating third party and internally built software systems to improve the entire company's security posture.

Basic Qualifications

On your first day, you will have experience in:

• 1+ years of working experience with Linux/Unix systems

• 1+ years of experience with AWS or other Cloud providers

• Entry-level programming experience in one or more languages (e.g. Bash, Python, Go)

• Experience troubleshooting on-prem and cloud native platforms and operating systems. (1+ years)

• Prior experience supporting internal or external customers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in automation/configuration-as-code such as Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation.

• Familiarity with general incident management principles

• Familiarity with continuous integration/delivery pipeline

• Responding to alerts, incidents and requests related to production services

• Ability to contribute to improving monitoring and alerting systems related to production services

• Experience supporting internal or external customers while maintaining established service level agreements

• Familiarity with information security systems would be a huge bonus, specifically Tenable.io, Stamus Suricata IDS, Tines, Crowdstrike, Lacework, or similar.

Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $119,600 - $159,400

Zone B: $107,600 - $143,400

Zone C: $99,200 - $132,300

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
