Working at Atlassian

Atlassian acquired Loom to lead in remote first, asynchronous work. With Loom's async video expertise and Atlassian's team collaboration understanding, we aim to innovate and empower customers for richer collaboration. Join us on our mission to make the impossible possible.

Atlassians can choose where they work – whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.

Design at Atlassian

Design is a vital organization at Atlassian, and critical to Loom’s mission of video. By radically improving the experience of recording and sharing quick video messages, we are creating a new and more humane way of communicating at work. This requires us to think big and to discover and explore uncharted territory. That's why we're focused on building a diverse, and resilient design organization, full of talented people who love feedback and collaboration. Joining Atlassian is an opportunity to be at the forefront of industry transformation — how video is used at work and how AI can enable leapfrog improvements and simplicity in video creation and consumption.

What We're Looking For

  • Prior experience in Design organizations that have shipped software to users, working closely cross-functional teammates and taking a lead role in executing on a pre-defined brand / marketing strategy. Experience at a technology focused product-led company or agency is preferred.

  • An outstanding portfolio, with presentable case studies showcasing a foundation in design for digital mediums and demonstrating how you have moved the discipline of brand within an organization forward.

  • You have a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Brand Design and 1-2 years of management experience

  • You are a coach to others and give and ask for honest and critical feedback - you inspire, not merely direct

  • Experience collaborating with a diverse team in a rapid growth environment. Huge plus if you’ve worked with distant teammates and understand the communication patterns of working with highly distributed teams.

  • A learning and growth mindset: Our team size and our design process will evolve and change many times over the next few years. We strive to continuously improve and integrate what we learn — from our work and with each other.

  • Empathy and resilience: empathy for our customers, to build a product and a service they’ll love. Empathy for our coworkers, to build a workplace we’ll love. Resilience to be able to take feedback from anywhere, consider it gracefully, and fold it into your thinking and your work.

  • You're an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, and you're comfortable managing high-stakes communications

  • A sense of curiosity and willingness to learn from the best designers in the industry.
