Working at Atlassian

Atlassians can choose where they work – whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.

About the Role:

Join our TEAM and help us unleash the potential of every Atlassian.

We’re looking for a seasoned Talent Development leader to manage our newly-formed Craft Development team. In this role you’ll oversee a team of Talent Development and Organizational Development Partners. You'll be responsible for the strategy, execution, and measurable outcomes of a diverse portfolio of Craft solutions (ex. Engineering Onboarding, Marketing Career Expectations). Your leadership will directly influence our culture of continuous learning, growth, and innovation.

We seek a dynamic individual who thrives on developing both people and products. This hands-on role requires a candidate capable of strategic thinking and seeing the big picture, as well as diving into the intricacies to refine and perfect the details. To be successful in this role, you’ll need to excel at delivering impact through others and be able to deliver impact yourself.

This people manager will sit within the Talent Development pillar of our Talent Team and report to the Head of Talent Development. You’ll work closely with Talent Partners, HRBPs, customers, and stakeholders to develop and continuously improve impactful solutions across the organization.

For this remote position, we’re ideally looking for someone based in the Pacific Time Zone to ensure optimal collaboration with our team members in the United States, Australia, Europe, the Philippines, and India, while being flexible to accommodate the diverse time zones of our global team.

  • Advanced degree in HR, Organizational Development, Education, Psychology, Communication, or a related field.

  • At least 15 years of experience in talent development with proven expertise in building, scaling and refining impactful programs, products, processes, and frameworks.

  • At least 5 years of experience managing global teams, with a proven track record of hiring, developing, and retaining high-performing talent in a healthy team environment.

  • Demonstrated track record of designing and implementing end-to-end talent solutions that align with business objectives and add measurable value.

  • In-depth knowledge of talent and organizational effectiveness principles, frameworks, methodologies, and tools, with proficiency in organizational diagnostics and design.

  • Capable of understanding diverse talent needs throughout the organization and building strategically prioritized roadmaps to meet them.

  • Vetted program and project management skills, capable of ensuring execution excellence in dynamic, agile environments.

  • Strong analytical abilities, with a data-driven approach to problem-solving, decision-making, and performance measurement.

  • Exceptional communication skills, able to distill complex HR terminology and data insights into actionable strategies through storytelling.

  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted and productive working relationships with partners and stakeholders of all levels across the business.

Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $199,300 - $265,700

Zone B: $179,400 - $239,200

Zone C: $165,400 - $220,600

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
