We're looking for a Senior Experience Design Manager to join the AI Design Team. The AI Design team's mission is to accelerate AI innovation across our products and platforms, provide cohesive AI experiences and setup up an Atlassian AI infrastructure for the future. Reporting into the Head of Design for AI, you'll be a member of a newly formed team of Product and Content Designers within the core design group, all motivated to innovate on how our products use AI to solve customer problems. The ideal candidate will have both a strong design background and practitioner experience with AI/ML technology.

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $216,600 - $288,800

Zone B: $194,900 - $259,900

Zone C: $179,800 - $239,700

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

Please visit for more information on which locations are included in each of our geographic pay zones. However, please confirm the zone for your specific location with your recruiter.

  • Comfort in the level of learning and ambiguity needed to navigate fast-evolving fields like AI

  • Positive collaboration history with other departments, like Engineering, Product Management and Research

  • Examples of a high degree of influence with all kinds of internal partners, including senior leadership
