Principal, Monetization Strategy & Business Operations
Atlassian is seeking a Principal of Monetization Strategy and Business Operations to lead product, and portfolio monetization initiatives inclusive of packaging, pricing, editioning, commercialization and long-term business strategy to power product growth.
This role will give you the ability to partner closely with the executive team and senior stakeholders across the organization to define critical strategy that will help set the long-term direction of the business. You are a good fit if you are strategic, a self-starter, driven, adaptable, highly organized, analytical, and have a strong eye for detail. You are a great fit if you have a deep understanding of SaaS business models and of Atlassian’s markets and product strategy.
At Atlassian, the Strategy & Business Operations team is a high-impact and visible team that works closely with executive leaders across the company. You’ll own projects from inception to execution and delivery, ensuring that the packaging and pricing strategy proposals you develop are positioned to drive future growth. In the process, you’ll get to work closely with collaborative teams across multiple functions including product, go-to-market, analytics and finance.
Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $177,300 - $236,400
Zone B: $159,600 - $212,700
Zone C: $147,100 - $196,200
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

We expect you to have on day one:
Have 10+ years of experience in strategy consulting, product strategy, and/or pricing and packaging
Be comfortable with ambiguity, and able to both delve into the details and engage meaningfully on higher level strategy
Bring an analytical rigor, drive to support decisions with data, and ability to make data digestible to diverse audiences
Be a self-starter and be able to drive work from idea, to analysis, to recommendation and, at times, to guiding implementation
Demonstrate strong executive presence and exceptional verbal / written communication skills
Have an understanding of SaaS business models and of enterprise sales
Have strong proficiency in Excel, Gsheet (bonus points for experience using SQL)
It's great, but not required of you to have:
An MBA
Experience in SaaS enterprise monetization strategy
Knowledge of BI tools and technologies (e.g. Tableau)
