Senior Vice President, Corporate Finance
In this critical leadership role, the SVP, Corporate Finance will lead Expedia Group’s Corporate Finance team and be a strategic partner to Expedia Group’s CFO and CEO and our business leaders. The role will be responsible for defining and delivering the company’s multi-year P&L while making decisions to allocate capital to achieve the delivery of desired outcomes.
The role will oversee company-wide quarterly business reviews, outlooks, forecasts and annual planning while driving enterprise-wide initiatives including transformation and platforming efforts. The SVP, Corporate Finance will also act as CFO of Expedia Group’s corporate functions, owning the Hyperion financial planning and reporting system and modernizing FP&A processes.
As a well-rounded finance leader with depth across finance, the SVP, Corporate Finance have a track record of delivering sustainable financial growth by being a commercially astute business partner engaging and influencing at all levels and executing on key results. Success will stem from curiosity, a passion to improve capital allocation decisions, financial understanding, forecasts/outlooks, systems and performance by deeply understanding the Group’s processes and strategy and how Finance can achieve this target.

What you'll do:
Define and deliver the group-wide multi-year P&L, overseeing company’s capital allocation frameworks and processes
Oversee company investment framework ensuring we allocate capital to investments that will ensure delivery of the EG multi-year P&L
Lead company-wide quarterly business reviews ensuring divisions meet targets on key performance indicators
Collaborate closely with divisional CFOs to check-in on performance, trends, and status of key initiatives
Analyze and communicate trading trends and expected performance to Expedia Group CEO/CFO/Travel Leadership Team
Lead outlook, quarterly forecast and annual planning processes for all of Expedia Group
Identify P&L initiatives/opportunities both across the Group and within specific business divisions
Influence divisional finance leaders to suitably balance the bold delivery of financial results while remaining fiscally prudent and investing for the future
Drive system and process improvements to improve outlook and forecast accuracy
Communicate Expedia Group’s financial performance and expectations with proactive recommendations to drive company performance
Partner closely with Investor Relations and Financial Reporting in development of public earnings filings, releases and scripts
Develop Board and leadership team presentations on financial and business performance
Ensure Expedia Group CFO is sufficiently knowledgeable on financial trends, and address ad hoc queries from other senior leaders
Lead an experienced team, providing strategic leadership and coaching, and ultimately developing exceptional talent for Expedia Group
Create a vibrant, energized and enthusiastic environment for the function by creating a compelling unifying vision that steers, motivates and develops the team
Embed a culture where training, coaching and delivering proactive feedback lead to positive impact and results; creating a work environment where people can realize their full potential; thus, allowing the organization to meet current and future business challenges
Act as CFO of corporate functions along with real estate (~1000 people), ensuring spend is in line with plan and proactively identifying financial opportunities
Modernizing global FP&A processes and own strategy and administration of our core financial planning system (Hyperion)
Lead Expedia Group-wide strategic projects i.e. cost initiatives and transformation and platforming efforts
Who you are:
Senior leader in a variety of analytical and strategic, high-visibility finance roles
Proven track record in driving excellence in financial planning and insight whilst being experienced in delivering robust financial plans which empowers high performing businesses to grow value
Strong quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills. Proficiency in advanced Excel and financial modeling
Proven ability to influence and drive leadership to decisions and tangible outcomes
Comfortable creating positive relationships across a number of teams and supporting c-suite level leaders
A Storyteller: able to build and communicate clearly a vision and strategy. Skilled thought-leader, confident and successful at influencing others to act
Proven track record to work autonomously and lead a broad range of projects simultaneously and efficiently
Able to evaluate and making recommendations across opposing and equally critical business needs
