Regional HR Manager

We are seeking a Regional HR Manager to be a partner to Expedia Group’s People Team in the Americas. Put your leadership skills and considerable HR experience to work by joining our growing, innovative People Team!

What you'll do:

  • Provide guidance to managers on employee relations issues, recommend company’s response to the employee and minimize exposure to liability by ensuring legal requirements are met

  • Conduct employee investigations, work with leaders to resolve employee complaints, assist leaders with employee separations when needed

  • Coach and advise on performance management issues and activities

  • Proactively identify employee relations trends and recommend solutions

  • Engage with site leaders to understand the local team agendas, identify common themes and arrive at local people support strategy

  • Partner with site leaders to drive local employee site engagement activities

  • Build outstanding employee experiences by keeping track of new starters/leavers/new managers and use these insights to influence our programs that we craft and implement

  • Build a proactive culture of performance management by actively engaging with managers and employees to continuously raise the bar on performance

  • Provide advice and coaching to leaders on handling under-performance

  • Engage in Manager capability building and leadership coaching

  • Coach leaders on activating high performance across their teams

  • Utilize data to facilitate and drive business and process improvement by diagnosing and identifying improved approaches to Employee Relations and workforce issues (investigations, complaints, disciplinary issues, terminations, etc.)

  • Work in a multicultural and diverse environment, partner with other HR functions (Compensation, Benefits, HR Business Partners, Talent Management) to drive company-wide strategic programs including manager capability, performance management, health and safety, reorganizations, inclusion and diversity, organizational change, etc; ensure local relevance of global HR products

Who you are:

  • Minimum of 5 years Human Resources experience, or an equivalent combination of advanced training and experience in a constantly evolving environment

  • Ability to successfully partner with leaders at all levels as a trusted and conscientious advisor to guide and take appropriate action in addressing sensitive employment matters with tact, demonstrating outstanding communication, influencing, and collaboration skills

  • Experience navigating, influencing and partnering with other functions to accomplish results, even when there is no direct oversight

  • Thorough understanding of the employment law practices in the US, maintaining knowledge of the latest regulations, trends, and best practices in human resources and demonstrating skills to reliably communicate and integrate this knowledge across the organization

  • Ability to identify trends and measure results, using data, professional insight, analytical, critical thinking and strategic problem-solving skills

  • A natural bar raiser who exhibits curiosity to learn from others

  • Excel in a fast-paced environment open to experimentation and continuous improvement with “can-do” attitude

  • International experience and working with remote teams and time zones is a plus

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Human Resources or a related field; or equivalent related professional experience

The total cash range for this position in Austin is $104,000.00 to $145,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $166,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $104,000.00 to $145,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $166,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

The total cash range for this position in Austin is $110,500.00 to $155,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $177,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
