What you'll do...

  • Drive complex programs requiring coordination across teams and organizations. Establishes strategy & direction of execution within a program.

  • Scope, design, structure and lead large scale, complex and ambiguous projects and programs. Design and optimize effective project and program structures, organization and governance, throughout the project lifecycle, to set them up for success.

  • Build, empower and lead effective project teams by ensuring clear roles & responsibilities, goals & milestones, and driving accountability throughout the project/program lifecycle. Design tailored plans and frameworks as needed.

  • Provide frameworks, leverage data and fact-based investigation to independently solve ambiguous problems, and drive alignment, prioritization and focus from leadership to project groups. Perform complex data analyses and extract simple insights when needed.

  • Anticipate, assess, and manage dependencies, resourcing, risks and issues through independent and transparent escalation & reporting. Identify and track key measurements for determining the progress, success, and effectiveness of programs.

  • Ensure effective written and verbal communication throughout the project lifecycle. Tailor communications for different audiences and break down complex information into simplified messages to drive decision-making & accountability.

  • Understand Expedia Group and SEO channel overarching strategy and objectives to guide proper prioritization, resolve challenges, and propose best practices and resolution options.

  • Manage a complex matrix of multiple stakeholders, teams, departments, and workstreams. Use influence and establish relationships to become a trusted advisor and partner. Foster collaboration across SEO and Expedia Group teams. Develop close relationships with applicable leadership teams and serve as a change agent with strong credibility and influence in the organization.

Who you are:

  • Degree educated, with 8+ years of proven experience in leading complex, cross-functional, large-scale business programs and initiatives. Qualified and experienced in using PMP and/or Agile methodologies and frameworks. Travel industry, customer-centric, sales operations experience preferred.

  • Passion for driving business impact & execution of projects and programs through to completion. Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude and the ability to drive success with limited guidance in a highly autonomous role.

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to develop and optimize robust project governance, framework, plans, and work processes in partnership with cross-functional project teams.

  • Ability to manage key relationships: mobilize, influence, and lead others without having positional authority, by interacting and building rapport with teams of all levels, in a fast-moving and ever-changing environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with strong business acumen, ability to think strategically, and to see the bigger picture without missing details. A keen sense for prioritization and the ability to distinguish the critical from the extraneous factors influencing project outcomes.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify and present complex concepts to both executive leadership and operational teams. Inclusive team player with the ability to build an inclusive environment to bring a diverse set of perspectives to the team and our solutions.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $155,000 to $217,000. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $248,000, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
