Senior Director, Business Planning & Revenue Management

As the Senior Director of Business Planning and Revenue Management, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the Expedia Traveler business strategy, operational planning and driving revenue growth for Expedia Group’s newly formed Traveler Operations division. Your responsibilities will span across multiple lines of business, including Hotels, Flights, Cars, Activities and Vacation Rentals, as well as leading the financial planning and forecasting for 20+ markets across 4 super regions. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to set revenue targets, optimize financial performance, and ensure alignment with our global business goals and objectives.

What you’ll do:

  • Revenue Optimization: Develop and execute revenue strategies, pricing models, and demand forecasting

  • Financial Planning: Lead annual financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Business Unit Leadership, Global Markets Leadership, Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams to align revenue goals

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data analytics to drive informed business decisions

  • Risk Management: Mitigate revenue risks and partner with key stakeholders to identify growth opportunities

  • Business Planning & Revenue Targets: Partner with key leadership to set revenue targets and monitor progress against them

  • Financial Accountability: Ensure financial discipline, cost control, and adherence to budgetary guidelines

  • Performance Metrics: Regularly evaluate performance against targets against established financial KPIs

  • Global Alignment: Foster consistency and alignment across diverse markets

Who you are:

  • Minimum of 14 years of progressive experience in business planning, revenue management, financial planning, or business strategy within the tech & travel industry

  • Proven track record of successfully leading revenue planning initiatives, achieving revenue targets, and driving profitability

  • Global exposure: Experience working across diverse markets and understanding regional nuances

  • Leadership skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture

  • Strategic mindset: Ability to think long-term, anticipate market trends, and adapt to changing business landscapes

  • Financial acumen: Strong understanding of financial metrics, forecasting, and budgeting

The total cash range for this position in Dallas is $270,500 to $379,000. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $433,000, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

The total cash range for this position in San Francisco is $307,500 to $430,500. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $492,000, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

The total cash range for this position in New York City is $307,500 to $430,500. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $492,000, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $261,500.00 to $366,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $418,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
