The Senior Software Development Engineer - Salesforce Marketing Cloud role is part of the Universal Messaging Platform (UMP) Engineering Team which sits within our Product & Technology division. This team builds and maintains the Unified Global Templating framework, enables Salesforce Data Cloud integrations and innovate design-time tooling to support personalized and efficient communications across email, SMS, and push notifications. Our work ensures consistency, performance, and accessibility for global communications.

In this role, you will drive innovation in Salesforce Marketing Cloud integrations, enabling personalized, data-driven messaging for millions of customers. It ensures platform scalability, supports technical advancements, and mentors team members, directly enhancing the reliability and efficiency of our global messaging infrastructure.

In this role, you will:

  • Design, develop, and implement custom Salesforce solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing systems and infrastructure, enhancing user engagement across channels.

  • Lead the development of custom solutions and Salesforce integrations with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and custom APIs to extend Salesforce’s capabilities.

  • Guide the integration of Salesforce solutions with external systems and platforms, ensuring data integrity and consistency.

  • Mentor and lead junior engineers, providing guidance on best practices, code quality, and solution architecture.

  • Work closely with product teams to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient technical solutions.

  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of Salesforce’s latest features, capabilities, and development tools.

  • Drive innovation and improvements across the platform by continuously identifying areas for optimization.

  • Manage the end-to-end development process, including solution design, testing, and deployment in alignment with Agile methodologies.

Experience and qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in Salesforce development, with a strong focus on Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Data Cloud.

  • Proven expertise in developing complex Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and Salesforce APIs.

  • Experience in Salesforce integrations with external platforms, utilizing REST/SOAP APIs, and experience with API Management tools (e.g., MuleSoft).

  • Strong knowledge of data architecture, customer data strategy, and real-time interaction management within Salesforce.

  • Salesforce Certifications such as Certified Salesforce Platform Developer II, Marketing Cloud Consultant, or Data Cloud Consultant are preferred.

  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and working in a fast-paced, iterative environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

  • Familiarity with source code management tools such as Git and experience with CI/CD pipelines.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

The total cash range for this position in Dallas/Chicago is $157,50 to $220,500. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $252,000, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

The total cash range for this position in Austin is $173,000.00 to $242,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $277,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $173,000.00 to $242,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $277,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
