Introduction to Team
Our Corporate Functions are made up of teams that support Expedia Group, including Employee Communications, Finance, Legal, People Team, Inclusion and Diversity, and Global Social Impact and Sustainability.
The Associate Recruiter sits on the Emerging Talent & Careers (ETC) team, part of the wider Global Talent Acquisition team within Corporate Functions. Our mission is to bolster the EG workforce with diverse talent and skillsets needed for today and the future, fostering innovation and imagination, powering the future of travel. In this role, your passion for connecting with candidates, end-to-end recruiting, and partnering with a global team to complete projects and initiatives will impact the careers of countless future Expedians.
What you will do:
- Own the end-to-end recruiting process for an ETC portfolio with focus on a defined business division and/or product (intern, grad, apprentice, etc.) delivering on ETC demand
- Support relationships with ETC attraction channels – campus, vendor, student group, etc - to ensure robust engagement and a healthy candidate pipeline
- Actively engage candidates at local and virtual events and travel as needed to support the overall ETC recruitment strategy
- Support the planning and delivery of recruitment projects such as annual demand planning, intern conversions, and recruitment season readiness
- Assess candidate quality, skills and fit to identify the best candidate for a position
- Facilitate intake meetings and interview process planning with hiring managers to ensure alignment on identifying the most successful candidates in the talent pool
- Maintain effective relationships with candidates from attraction to onboarding by supporting the design and delivery of a keep warm strategy
- Practice strong, influential communication skills both internally and externally
- Develop and demonstrate a solid understanding of various CRM tools including Workday, Beamery, WayUp, Handshake, etc.
- Partner across GTA with talent attraction, HRBPs, and others to activate a one team mentality and align business strategy with recruiting goals
- Work collaboratively and flexibly, putting the goals of the team and business first and embodying Expedia Group's Mission, Purpose & Values
Qualifications:
- You have 1-2 years of end-to-end recruiting experience
- You have experience recruiting for technical and/or non-technical roles
- You can travel 15-25% throughout the year
- You have strong communication skills, a growth mindset, and a solutions-focused approach
- Preferred: You have experience using CRM tools
- Preferred: You have experience working in a highly matrixed organization
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
