In this role, you will:

Manage a portfolio of technical programs that span multiple business units. Lead cross-functional teams to drive collaborative decisions while developing an autonomous team to drive business results. Hire, manage, and coach a team of program managers who participate in the software development lifecycle through planning, requirements analysis, design, coding, unit testing, and acceptance testing. Collaborate with product, engineering, and strategy leaders to design technical solutions and provide detailed specifications that satisfy scalability, reliability, and performance goals. Develop project schedules, define timeframes, proactively manage risks, and prioritize initiatives with the product and engineering teams to deliver intended objectives within the agreed timeframes, ensuring that requirements are completed. Communicate technical and business concepts to stakeholders, including executive leadership. Position involves management of direct reports and managerial duties. Position requires travel. May be assigned to various, unanticipated sites throughout U.S. May telecommute.

Experience and qualifications:

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field and 36 months of experience in the job offered or in a Program Manager-related occupation. Position requires:

1.Agile development methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban;

2.Service Oriented Architecture with program delivery;

3.Converting business requirements into technical requirements;

4.Program Life Cycle;

5.Creating product feature specifications, capturing functional and non-functional requirements, and producing product roadmaps; and

6.Collaborating to define product strategy, feature priority and disseminate project information.

  • The total cash range for this position in Chicago, Illinois is $221,000 to $309,500/year.

  • Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
