GeelongPort has a bold aspiration to become Australia’s most sustainable port and we are looking for a sustainability manager to help drive our sustainability strategy and programs.

About us

At GeelongPort, our values drive our business, and our people drive our values. We are passionate about sustainability and focused on delivering on our goal to become Australia’s most sustainable port.

We are committed to transparency regarding our environmental, social and governance (ESG) efforts and do this through key reporting processes, including:

  • Annual reporting and a submission to the GRESB Infrastructure Asset Benchmark program.
  • The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
  • Annual sustainability reporting in accordance with GRI Standards.

With over 150 years of maritime history and experience behind us, GeelongPort is a critical enabler for the Victorian economy supporting more than 1,800 jobs and contributing to the economic and social fabric of the Geelong region.

As Victoria’s premier bulk port, GeelongPort manages 12 million tonnes of cargo and $7 billion of trade annually with over 600 vessel visits per year. Shipping activity is linked to a range of critical trades supporting the agriculture, construction, energy, and tourism sectors in the region.

Based at Corio Quay in North Geelong, we value partnering with our customers and community to deliver a safe and sustainable port that drives growth and prosperity for Geelong and the regions we connect to.

  • Development of strategies to achieve our long-term carbon reduction targets and managing climate-based risks across the organisation.
  • Lead the development and delivery of the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) as the chair of the internal reconciliation working group (RWG), working with traditional owners to strengthen our relationships.
  • Ensure the organisation keeps pace with leading developments in sustainability, bringing new ideas and experiences forward to help shape a culture of sustainable business practices.
