Position Overview

NPX QUALITY ASSURANCE INSPECTOR

The primary function of this Quality Technician position is to provide support to the Quality Assurance Team and New Product Development Engineering Team, as required, in the form of FAI requests for new parts, reverse engineering of tooling and parts, CAD assistance, Testing coordination of products offered by Hubbell as needed by departmental manager. Will create and develop engineering drawings in CAD for the purpose of producing parts and assemblies as required. This is inclusive to having a full understanding of SAP or a comparable MRP system as it pertains to material masters, bill of materials, Inspections Criteria, and drawing records into Hubbell’s business system.

Duties and Responsibilities

Perform complex inspections that are non-destructive.
Work closely with engineering on First Article Inspection for new products.
Ability to perform FAI using automated/ manual equipment
Update SAP with inspection criteria to support MFG facilities
Test Product such as GFCI for its construction and performance specifications.
Create Inspection Programs for all Automated Equipment to support plants.

  • Required experience: 3 years Minimum
  • CMM Inspection of intricate parts
  • Ability to create CMM And work with 3D model Files
  • Strong CAD/CAM software knowledge such Inventor and MasterCam
  • Strong understanding of Point Cloud and Heat Maps files
  • Strong Metrologic knowledge a plus
  • Kulka Robotic Arms programing a plus
  • Experience using manual inspection and optical inspection instruments.

Education

Associates Degree in Engineering General or Electrical Engineering
