Position Overview

Responsible for all transactional duties in warehouse, fulfilling month end and quarter end obligations, maintaining inventory accuracy, collaborating with other departments to support servicing our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Check source documents to assure inventory transactions associated with receiving, issuing and shipping are maintained accurately.
  • Assure that on line transactions required of the warehouse follow SOP’s in the Material Control Manual
  • Maintain all files and records required in the Material Control Manual
  • Assure effective communication with divisional headquarters
  • Fulfill requests from internal and external customers. Alert supervision when a request cannot be fulfilled
  • Assist warehouse employees with daily activities
  • Trained in LOTO,
  • Use SAP, Excel, Work Email, etc.
  • May be called on to lift up to 35 lbs. and to help with lifting over 35 lbs.
  • Other Duties and Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

  • Safety Champion Promotes safe conditions and takes pro-active steps to ensure safety comes first in the area and with everyone in the warehouse team. Works cross-functionally to have safety issues addressed immediately.
  • Inventory Leader in the warehouse. Brings administrative excellence and attention to detail to the entry of daily transactions. Strives for 100% accuracy. Realizes mistakes and takes action to correct them as they occur.
  • Collaboration with additional Warehouse Coordinator II in coordinating responsibilities and tasks among the warehouse team across all three shifts to support Manufacturing and other departments. Takes on new projects. Develops skills across warehouse team and promotes cross-training. Works with Manufacturing, Planning, Purchasing, Customer Service, and external suppliers and vendors, etc.
  • Self-Starter & Communicator. Works with limited supervision and enjoys getting the job done. Eager to ask questions and not shy about asking for help when needed. Questions requests from other departments if they don't seem right; works together to find the right answer.
  • Team Player at Burndy. Thrives in working with other people and departments to handle change, solve problems, complete projects, and take on new initiatives and opportunities.

Education

Associates Degree in Business

Skills and Experience

Education and/or Experience: Associate’s degree from a two-year college or university; two or more year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Computer Skills: Must have strong e-mail skills and basic experience with Microsoft Office. SAP Experience preferred. Advanced familiarity with Microsoft Excel preferred.
  • Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
