Position Overview
The Set Up Technician will be responsible for machine set up and must be able to read a blueprint.
Work hours: 1st shift 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday
Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour
Retention Bonus: $1,000 after completion of 100 days
Duties and Responsibilities
CNC mill set-up, Manual mill set-up
Properly setup and use cutting tools and fixtures
Using gauges and measuring instruments to ensure proper quality
Perform cleaning and maintenance on machines such as cleaning metal chips out of CNC machines
Check daily liquid levels of machines
Comply with quality policies, specifications and work instructions
Other duties as requested by supervisor and/or management
Skills and Experience
Ability to read/interpret blueprints and work instructions
Requires mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Ability to read and use quality inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers and gauges
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, bend, lift and reach for periods of time
Must be able to follow all shop rules and all safety rules
Must be a motivated team player and work well with others with little supervision
Ability to work overtime as needed.
