A Day In The Life
- MIG welding on steel (a mix of open table and fixture)
- This position requires welding of steel products and familiarity with MIG welding process.
- This position requires a basic knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
- Perform all position welding on a diversified line of standard weldments and structures in accordance with code certifications, alignments, dimensional and general inspection requirements.
- Fit and position weldments for several parts, use welding fixtures and jigs where applicable.
- Methods are usually prescribed or standardized but welders may select and vary techniques within the limits of recognized procedures.
- Perform daily upkeep and routine maintenance, keeping equipment and production area in good working order.
- Comply with and support all aspects of the company’s quality management program.

Skills and Experience:
- Ability to prioritize workload and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to multi-task as needed.
- Knowledge of proper use of safety equipment, i.e., safety glasses, ear plugs, and work boots where necessary.
Physical demands and work environment:
- Ability to move about the facility moving product.
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
- Lift up to 35 pounds.
- Occasionally stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- General knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
- General knowledge of basic welding operations.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
