Job Overview

Powder Mixer Operator (Floater) - 2nd Shift

Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour (plus a 10% shift differential)

Shift Hours: 2:00pm - 10:00pm Monday - Friday

  • Under direct supervision assist in the manufacture of MOV Blocks used in the assembly of high voltage surge arrestors.
  • Paid Vacation after 6 months.

  • Mandatory overtime when needed.
  • Overtime pay rate at 1.5x. Double-time pay rate 7th consecutive day of working 8hrs.

A Day In The Life

  • Follow all safety rules and lock out tag out regulations for self and others.
  • Precisely weighing and loading raw materials into mills
  • Milling, mixing, screening, and spray drying operations.
  • Measurement of in-process properties and decision making based on results
  • Participate in 5S program and perform routine housekeeping to keep area clean

  • Previous manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Previous mixing experience is preferred
  • Must be willing and able to work in a hot and humid environment.
  • Stand on your feet for extended period.
  • Lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Work in a fast-paced setting.
  • Operate a forklift (we will train).
  • Function in a team environment.
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Must have a high attention to detail
  • Ability to perform basic tasks on a PC or tablet
  • Analytical instruments – moisture analysis, pH meter, bulk material analysis, etc.
  • Maintain a reliable attendance record.
