As a Venture Analyst at nib, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our growth, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), and venture strategy. You'll be at the forefront of nib's transformation from a traditional payer to a proactive partner in healthcare, contributing to high-impact investments and strategic initiatives.

Reporting to the Group Head of Growth and Ventures, you will:

  • Provide Market Intelligence & Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research, analyse industry trends, and provide competitive intelligence to identify emerging opportunities and inform strategic decisions.

  • Drive Financial Analysis & Due Diligence: Perform rigorous financial modelling, valuation analysis, and due diligence to evaluate potential investment opportunities and M&A transactions.

  • Develop Strategic Insights & Recommendations: Deliver data-driven recommendations to guide M&A, market expansion, and venture scaling, ensuring alignment with nib's strategic objectives.

  • Support Venture Commercialization: Contribute to the commercialisation and growth of ventures such as Midnight Health and Honeysuckle Health, identifying growth levers, partnerships, and scalability opportunities.

  • Monitor Portfolio Performance: Track portfolio performance, analyse synergies and investment outcomes, and provide executive reporting on venture success.

  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with executives, founders, and internal stakeholders to drive high-impact investments and position nib as a leader beyond traditional insurance models.


Let’s talk about you

  • 4+ years of experience as an analyst in investment banking, strategy consulting, venture capital, private equity, or a high-growth corporate environment.

  • Financial & Commercial Acumen – Strong proficiency in financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence, with the ability to assess investment opportunities and business performance.

  • M&A & Investment Analysis – Experience supporting deal execution, conducting market research, and assessing synergies for acquisitions, partnerships, or investments.

  • Market Intelligence & Strategic Insights – Ability to track industry trends, competitor movements, and emerging opportunities, providing data-driven recommendations.

  • Post-Merger Integration & Performance Monitoring – Experience in tracking acquired businesses, measuring synergies, and ensuring investment success.

  • Data-Driven Decision-Making – Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract actionable insights from complex datasets.

  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication – Experience working with senior leaders, investors, and external advisors, with strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and presentations.
