The Role
Reporting to the Global Sr Director of Continuous Improvement, the America’s regional Director of TEOA is responsible for ongoing advancement of TE’s continuous improvement operating system across the regional operations network. The Regional TEOA leader will partner with the Global TEOA network and business units to deliver breakthrough performance and build capabilities that will allow the businesses to become increasingly self-sufficient as they create lean value streams. The Regional TEOA Director will leverage expertise within the team to tackle difficult transformational challenges and collaborate to share best practices and develop talent. As a member of TE’s Global Continuous Improvement Team, the TEOA Director will work across functions (ex. Manufacturing Engineering, Digital Factory, Quality) to help solve important operations challenges. The individual who is successful in this role will be positioned to move into a broader operations leadership position within a TE business unit.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with regional counterparts, as part of the Global team, for definition and improvement of the TEOA operations framework as needed to meet the needs of the business units (BUs)
  • Systemic change management related to TEOA in operations supporting operations sites with implementation to make TEOA “how we work”
  • Monitor regional TEOA maturity and transformation results and provide visibility to drive engagement of operations leadership
  • Create momentum to deliver results through TEOA
  • Collaborate with Global TEOA Operations team to develop and deliver training curriculum and supporting materials for BU skills development
  • Partner with the businesses to solve difficult transformation challenges, utilizing the resources or the team and leveraging the extended TEOA network to provide expertise
  • Support BU operations to optimize plans for new sites or major restructuring activities
  • Influence the continuous improvement leadership team to align priorities across functions to best meet the needs of the businesses/sites

What your background should look like:

  • 10+ years of broad manufacturing/quality/continuous improvement management experience in a best-in-class global manufacturing environment with a strong preference for plant management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to solve strategic problems that expand beyond operations (market differentiators, customer needs, commercial terms, logistics network, etc.)
  • Strong experience with lean management systems and transformational tools
  • Excellent business acumen with the ability to understand the commercial, operational, and financial priorities of the business and align initiatives on the areas of highest impact.
  • Managerial courage, gravitas and influencing skills to partner effectively
  • Organizationally savvy, but not political, and can effectively navigate between Business Unit, Segment and Enterprise needs seamlessly.
  • Effective communication skills to translate strategy to action for broad employee groups within the business and across the enterprise.
  • Track record of driving and managing change in a dynamic environment and achieving results by setting high standards and holding people accountable for performance.
  • Proven experience leading and coaching to improve individual and team performance.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree desired

COMPENSATION

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $139,200 - $208,900(subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
