Job Overview
The Field Application Engineer (FAE) will be responsible for the sales and support of the Appliance Business Unit’s products sold thru TE Connectivity’s distribution partners. Key responsibilities will include maintaining and supporting the Appliances BU’s relationships and interests within their assigned territory. The FAE must have a broad knowledge of TE’s technology and product portfolios, and the markets served. In addition, a solid aptitude for business/commercial negotiations is vitally important to ensure market share and revenue for the organization.

Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities; determining solutions; creating demand through opportunity identification discussions (OID) sessions, branch training, joint customer visits with distributors.
- Serves as customer contact on technical and service-related problems.
- Identifies new applications, product requirements thru OID sessions, branch training, and joint customer visits with distributors.
- May include any aspect of product field support - including recommended manufacturing processes, product assembly into finished goods, and application evaluation.
- Provides technical support to customers related application tooling for APL products.
- Supports quality engineering with initial field analysis of customer complaints.
- Develop and execute regional strategic plans for assigned distribution partners including Marketing plans, BU sales initiatives, new customer identification, and growth plans by territory and product family.
- Support the Channel BU’s Key Account Managers/Distribution Market Managers with inventory analysis and review of POP performance by APL GPL's.
- Provide technical product and application training to assigned Distributor - Product Management, Inside Sales, Asset Managers
- Drives indirect channel sales performance and meets sales targets by reviewing assigned distributor performance - top/bottom customers, GPL trends, NPI promotions, and competitive cross reference activities.
What your background should look like:
- B.S. in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or B.A./B.B.A with a focus in General Business, Management or Marketing.
- Up to 3 years of sales experience preferably selling engineered electrical products
- Effective organizational and interpersonal skills
- Proven leadership experience, problem solving abilities and analytical skill
- Excellent oral/written communication and influencing skill
- Must have the ability to work independently
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of project management principles. Project management experience is a plus
- Ability to multitask and work/train in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with MS Power Point, Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Must be willing and able to travel approximately 50% of the time.
- Position is Remote, however must reside in Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Minnesota, or Wisconsin

COMPENSATION
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $95,040K – $142,560K (subject to change dependent on physical location)
- Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
- Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
