Job Overview
Join our dynamic engineering team where you'll work in a collaborative office environment supporting various manufacturing operations. As a Designer, you'll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing high-speed progressive die drawings, both in hard copy and digital formats. Your tasks will involve creating new designs and modifying existing ones under the guidance of our engineering manager. While your primary focus will be on progressive stamping design, you may also contribute to the design of auxiliary equipment.
Responsibilities:
Utilize 2-D and 3-D drafting platforms to create and update engineering drawings.
Collaborate with Engineers and Technicians to develop and revise drawings and assemblies.
Create and update assemblies, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and reference documents.
Transform sketches or verbal instructions into detailed models and drawings.
Ensure accurate maintenance of models, prints, assemblies, and documentation in both hard copy and electronic formats.
Support daily engineering tasks assigned by the Engineering Manager, focusing on 5-S, quality, and safety initiatives.
Adhere to plant safety regulations and participate in safety and quality training sessions.
Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and teamwork skills.
Assist vendors and tool crib personnel with updates and corrections to geometry and prints.
Incorporate changes to prints based on feedback from technicians and shop personnel.
Take initiative on projects aligned with the engineering department's goals.
What your background should look like:
Proficiency in CAD software and drafting techniques with an understanding of tool-making processes.
Familiarity with GD&T principles (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Ability to interpret Mechanical Blueprints and provide guidance to others.
Knowledge of materials such as A2, D2, CPM, and carbide, along with their applications.
Experience working within tight design tolerances (+/- 0.0001").
Comfortable working with both metric and imperial units.
Proficient in AutoCAD 2D and Creo, with optional familiarity with Siemens NX.
Experience with simulation software is a plus.
Strong mathematical and Microsoft Office skills.
Effective written and verbal communication in English.
Willingness to undergo training as required by management.

COMPENSATION
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $71,760-107,640 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
- Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
