Job Overview

The AMS Product Manager E-MOBILITY is responsible to shape, execute & grow the E-MOBILITY portfolio, with key focus on optimizing the products’ market position and financial returns, consistent with corporate and Automotive business unit strategies. The candidate will lead the effort of developing E-MOBILITY business plan, product strategy and product marketing, and overseeing its execution to maximize the value generation throughout the responsible product life cycle.

Strategy Development

  • Outlines a clear portfolio strategy and growth plan for the assigned product family. Cascades the vision and strategy throughout the organization and ties it to clear near-term plans and metrics. Creates buy-in from the organization for the plan through early engagement
  • Articulate market trends, demand drivers, unmet customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape. Understands key applications for the respective product lines and can articulate application specific product strategies
  • Expected to develop in-depth understanding of major competitors in the key product markets. Leverage competitive knowledge for strategic decision-making
  • Develop product and technology roadmaps that aligns with business strategy and market needs
  • Lead Strategic Work Force Planning cross functionally to enable the correct support staff at the appropriate time in the business cycle to enable product line growth
  • Work with R&D and operations in the development of new products to meet current and future customer and market requirements


Execution

  • Define resource requirements necessary to execute the product and technology roadmaps
  • Develop growth pipeline and partner with sales for execution of opportunities
  • Be the opportunity champion for NPI projects for portfolio / platform engagements to drive to success
  • Work effectively with the Regional Product Manager teams to drive execution of the product line strategies
  • Partners with the sales organization and drives empowerment that accelerates speed and responsiveness while jointly defining GTM strategies
  • Partners with the operations & engineering team to define a productivity improvement plan to maintain competitive position in the market
  • Works with marketing to develop training and collateral for the overall product line


Drives the full P&L

  • Manage the P&L (sales and gross or standard margin) for the assigned product line
  • Deliver growth above market through CPV and share gain execution
  • Drives YoY margin expansion by developing and executing robust pricing strategies, driving operational productivity and improving product mix

What your background should look like:

  • BS in business, finance, engineering or other disciplines. MBA or MS is preferred.
  • More than 8 years of experience in various Engineering, Business Administration and Sales assignments
  • Have worked in at least 2-3 different functions such as business, sales, engineering, operations, finance, purchasing and quality
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry and more specific of the EV market
  • Strong background and experience in Electric Vehicle Architecture
  • Operational experience with electronics manufacturing / manufacturing engineering preferred
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken; Spanish is a plus
  • Clear strategic thinker with vision and ability to execute on priorities
  • Team oriented working style with proven track record in organization and planning skills
  • Have demonstrated strong leadership skills, including experience building highly motivated teams
  • Strong problem solving, strategic and tactical thinking and analytical skills
  • Knows customers market and competition stand in detail and able to drive appropriate tactics for growth short and long term

COMPENSATION

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $146,240 - $219,320 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
