Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions, and install quality control systems, develop, and document analytical methods for establishing the reliability of products and their components, and conduct analysis on relative reliability regarding cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Our teams develop, implement, and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, products, and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action, and customer communication.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and run dimensional inspection programs using CMM, optical measurement equipment, Micro Vu, measuring microscopes and hand tools.
  • Create holding fixtures for CMM and Micro Vu for parts as required.
  • Perform CT scanning and analysis using Volume Graphics.
  • Write inspection reports.
  • Maintain quality documentation neatly and methodically.
  • Observe health and safety regulations, support laboratory accreditation and lab safety efforts.
  • Carry out any other tasks as required.

The ideal candidate will possesses a blend of technical expertise, hands-on experience, and strong interpersonal skills necessary to thrive in a dynamic quality and reliability engineering environment. You must be dedicated to upholding high standards of quality while actively contributing to the company's success and growth.

This is a 2nd shift from 1:30 pm to 10 pm with an added 10% shift differential.

What your background should look like:

Educational Background

  • Associate degree in Metrology, Quality or related field preferred.

Professional Experience

  • 3-year minimum related experience with dimensional inspection and inspection equipment.
  • Experience with CMM, MicroVu and/or CT Scanning
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T.
  • Experience as a technician in a manufacturing or lab environment.

Special Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills

  • PC-DMIS, InSpec and Volume Graphics software experience.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, and organization skills.
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral & written).
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
  • Proactive, self-starter keen on building and establishing a strong quality culture.
  • Understanding and adherence to ethical principles, company values, and policies.
  • Must multitask, take ownership of assigned projects, and display a strong work ethic.

COMPENSATION

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $46,720 – $70,080 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
