Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist III to join the Corporate Technology Center (CTC) group. The EHS Specialist will be responsible for supporting the development, planning, implementation, and maintenance of the EHS management system for the organization that meets TE Safety Assessment for Effectiveness (SAFE) requirements, implements TE environmental sustainability programs, ensures compliance with all relevant regulations, TE policies, and TE specifications, and provides continuous improvement in EH&S performance. Creating and delivering training programs to ensure those involved in maintaining the organization's EHS programs are aware of their responsibilities and how to discharge them. You will provide training for all employees to achieve 100% engagement in EHS. Participating in EHS inspections and audits and facilitating incident investigations and advising management on appropriate corrective actions are also part of your responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and risk assessment methodologies. This position will be responsible for EHS needs from CTC campuses both in PA and CA. 15-20% traveling is expected.

Responsibilities:


  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions. Inspect tools and equipment safety, machine guarding.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety measures into daily operations and projects.
  • Develop and maintain EHS documents and specifications, including JSAs, LOTO, SOPs.
  • Ensure safe working behaviors, such as proper PPE usage, LOTO execution, pre-maintenance check, etc..
  • Provide training and educational programs to employees on safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and environmental awareness.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and develop reports with recommendations for preventive measures.
  • Monitor and analyze data related to EHS performance, and implement improvements to enhance overall safety and environmental sustainability.
  • Interface with regulatory agencies and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation affecting EHS practices.
  • Develop emergency response plans and coordinate audit to ensure readiness for potential incidents.
  • Identify potential hazards, risks or near hits through GEMBA Walk or internal audit and follow up the improvement programs.
  • Participate in the design and review of facilities to ensure they meet safety and environmental standards.
  • Foster a culture of safety awareness and compliance throughout the organization.
  • Provide onboard trainings to keep new employees are well-informed as regards safety instructions, and emphasize and explain any form of possible EHS hazard, including applicable precautions

What your background should look like:


  • Minimum 5+ years of EH&S experience required. BS degree in Environmental, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or other science field is preferred.
  • Experience in a technical, engineering or manufacturing role preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability in conducting audits and inspections of all aspects of EHS throughout a Site
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing EHS programs in an industrial or corporate setting.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements. Familiarity with local requirements in California and Pennsylvania is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks and propose effective solutions.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to continuous improvement in EHS performance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and influence others to promote a safety-centric culture.
  • Willingness to travel domestically between CTC sites.

COMPENSATION


  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $91,840- $137,760(subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
