Job Overview
TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend changes, and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment.
Performs inspections of purchased parts, materials, sub-assemblies or finished products according to inspection plans using standard physical, mechanical and/or electrical measurement equipment
- Documents inspection and test results in traceable manner in a database or other internal programs
- Maintains all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner
- Monitor inspection and test equipment to ensure proper operation, carries out maintenance activities and uses calibrated equipment only
- Creates or assists in creating / updating of inspection plans, test procedures, SOPs for the incoming inspection function
- Initiates Non-conformance reports as required
- Perform First Article Inspection to support component qualification process - where applicable
- Performs containment actions, product identification and traceability activities as specified
- Work with other company personnel to address inspection issues, questions
- Ensure timely returns of non-conforming products to the supplier
- Achieve KPI targets based on FY goals
What your background should look like:
- HS diploma or GED required. Associates Degree in mechanical, industrial engineering or related field is preferred.
- Basic mathematical and computer skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to gatherer data and perform analytics (gage R&R, process control, and SPC charts) experience.
- Ability to interpret product blueprints/drawings.
- Ability to use measurement and test equipment.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work to successfully accomplish job duties.
- 1-3 years prior experience in manufacturing
- Strong mechanical ability including the use of small production hand tools is a plus

COMPENSATION
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $46,720
- Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
- Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
