Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Account Management Teams are responsible for selling TE's products, systems or services, providing detailed technical product information and maintaining relationships with customers in assigned geographic territory, industry or accounts.
You will conduct sales and marketing activities, follow up AR/past dues and develop customer relationships/New development projects with the objectives of achieving sales target, increasing market-share, reducing AR/past dues and ensuring customer satisfaction. Sales activities include: customer presentations and design engagement, implementing annual district sales plan (billing target, market-share, product mix, special project etc.) by customer; conduct analysis to identify customer needs (with coaching and guidance); promote full line of TE products to customers.

Marketing Activities:
Maintain general market awareness; gather customers and competitors information; According to his/her experienced marketing knowledge, prepare reports in order to increase market-share and develop expansion plan, including products from other TE business units.

Customer Relationship Development and Maintenance:
Create and maintain relationship with existing customers; coordinate communications between customer and internal departments in order to maintain customer satisfaction and develop new sales.

Internal Team Supporting:
The successful candidate is expected to coordinate all customer engagement activities, making sure that TE resources are appropriately deployed and that the internal team is supported in customer-facing meetings. The ability to navigate TE is critical so the customer experiences “One TE”.

Long Description

You will engage in the following:

  • Drive sales growth through maximization of resources and execution of market segment strategies.
  • Serve as the primary interface between the customer and TE Connectivity.
  • Secure sales wins by ensuring innovation, value-added propositions, early customer engagement and influencing customer touch points. Maintain Extraordinary Customer Experience (ECE) through entire sales cycle.
  • Work closely with OEM engineering to develop engineered solutions utilizing TE's existing product portfolio and development capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships at all levels within the customer to position TE as a strategic partner to the customer.
  • Assess and qualify new business opportunities and manage to provide new product streams.
  • Maintain a high level of awareness regarding industry trends and competitive activity within the territory.
  • Effectively communicate with all other team members to promote the business needs of the territory to foster growth.
  • Identify application areas where TE does not have a dominating position and define account coverage and product requirements.
  • Works with regional leaders to ensure they are supporting the global customer as necessary to become the preferred supplier in the identified regions/products.
  • Responsible for understanding all aspects of the customer; including but not limited to: Available Market, Market-Share, Customers Business Objectives, Goals, and Technologies.
  • Responsible and accountable for delivering the annual growth plans regarding the specific customer as well as further defining the account specific tactic under consideration of customer’s and TE’s strategies

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Engineering or Technology degree preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in Sales, Distribution Sales, Marketing, Business Development, or Project Management.
  • Experience in various Sales, Business Development, and Marketing, assignments with Key Customers.
  • Successfully managed outside sales territory with proven growth record.
  • Strong problem solving, strategic and tactical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to form successful working relationships quickly at all levels.
  • Knowledge of trends/competition/technology that will influence product and sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross functionally and to influence without direct authority.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and computer skills (i.e. Power Point, Excel, Word).
  • Talent to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions, and solve problems independently.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required.

COMPENSATION

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $88,480 – $132,720 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
