This position will report to the MSP-Metals Manufacturing Engineering Manager and be an on-site position located in Plymouth, Minnesota

Your expertise will be invaluable as you establish and execute comprehensive engineering studies, capability assessments, test method validations, and characterization efforts.

You will skillfully translate objectives into actionable tasks, ensuring seamless execution of initiatives like equipment insourcing, enhancements, and innovative fixture design and development.

Job Responsibilites

  • Actively seek and propose valuable improvements for site processes and procedures that drive efficiency and innovation. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strategically plan and gather data aimed at effective problem-solving and process enhancement. - Deliver comprehensive status reports on engineering projects to internal stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment. - Lead the development, implementation, and thorough documentation of processes, tools, and equipment for optimal performance.
  • Design and conduct standard engineering tests and experiments with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring reliable outcomes.
  • Take charge of writing and documenting clear process instructions that facilitate understanding and compliance.
  • Create and refine manufacturing processes along with detailed process documentation to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Support the scope, deliverables, timeline, and project team for capital expenditure (CapEx) related to engineering projects, driving success and value.
  • Engage in the development and execution of innovative new processes and systems that propel the organization forward.
  • Identify and manage system integrations to streamline operations efficiently. - Coordinate seamlessly with various functional groups as required to ensure unified progress and objectives.

What your background should look like:

  • Positive, adaptable attitude that thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Medical device/FDA regulation experience preferred.
  • Laser cutting/ Laser welding manufacturing experience preferred
  • Have received a ​BA/BS​ Degree in, ​Mechanical Engineering​ or ​Electrical Engineering​ from an accredited college or university or have equivalent work history.
  • Strong statistical analysis skills (process capability, equivalence studies, ANOVA, DOE).
  • Knowledge of industry accepted problem-solving processes, such as 5-Why, 8-Step, or DMAIC/Six Sigma.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, Process Control & Monitoring (SPC).
  • Well-developed writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision, as well as in “team” settings.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing; proficiency in English required.
  • Currently authorized to work in the U.S.

COMPENSATION

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $83,000 – 124,600
(subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
