About the role
Reporting to the Head of Software & Data Engineering, the Workday Administrator will play a key role in leading the business-as-usual operation of Workday’s Human Capital Management (HCM) and Financial Management. You'll contribute to the Workday SME’s by working closely with internal stakeholders and contributing to the team's technical capability in all aspects of security and system administration.

Areas of responsibility include system configuration, administration, troubleshooting, upgrades, enhancements, and user training. By optimising our HCM and finance modules, you’ll help drive key initiatives to enhance processes, ensure data integrity, and support reporting and analytics to improve organisational performance.

In this role you will:

  • Serve as the administrator for various Workday modules, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Implement configuration changes, maintain security roles, and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, Procurement, and Technology teams to gather requirements and propose enhancements.
  • Deliver training sessions, offer expert guidance, and provide technical support to end-users.
  • Contribute to release preparation and testing, ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Manage Workday release cycles for Workday modules, including performing impact analysis and coordinating testing efforts.
  • Oversee both role-based and user-specific access, managing provisioning and deprovisioning processes.
  • Administer security groups with a strong grasp of Workday security policies and domain requirements.
  • Manage tenant activities and act as the designated support contact for Workday-related issues.
  • Monitor and address support requests from partners promptly.
  • Develop and update comprehensive system documentation, including process maps and user guides.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across People & Culture, Finance, and Payroll to implement tailored solutions.
  • Provide overall administrative support to Workday subject matter experts.
  • Understanding of Workday audit controls.


What you will bring to the role:

  • At least 2 years of experience serving as a Workday administrator
  • A thorough understanding of Workday processes
  • Experience with WorkDay integrations
  • Proven experience troubleshooting system issues and delivering timely, effective resolutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a keen eye for detail
  • A collaborative mindset with a track record of working effectively across cross-functional teams
  • A solid understanding of role-based and user-specific security frameworks
  • Hands-on experience in requirements gathering, system building, testing, and implementation of business solutions
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to thrive in both independent and team settings
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • A degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Experience with either Workday HCM & or Financials
  • Workday certifications are a plus
