About the OPPORTUNITY
We have a great opportunity for an Application Support Analyst to join our Central Functions Line of Business based in Adelaide SA reporting to the Engineering and Agile Systems Manager.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
You will be responsible for both support and maintenance for a wide range of Engineering software in use at BAE Systems. Your primary focus will be working with the team to provide great customer service to our Engineering community across the entire company
Key responsibilities include:

  • Support our Engineers in utilising our systems effectively by responding to and processing service requests in the service desk system
  • Respond to incidents and troubleshoot technical issues as they may arise
  • Work with the team to plan and execute major and minor system upgrades
  • Work with our vendors to get the most out of our systems

About YOU

  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong research, analysis, and problem solving skills
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work towards tight deadlines
  • A good working knowledge of scripting and automation languages
  • Experience installing and managing server side software on Windows operating systems
  • Experience in deploying client applications using SCCM would be an advantage
  • Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain a clearance to a level of NV2
  • Eligibility to be cleared for Export Control regulations
  • Above all, an inquisitive nature and the need to understand how things work
