Case Claims Manager - Insurance Claims

Your Team
CFS Claims Insurance which sits within the Trustee Services and Insurance Operations business unit in Customer Operations. You will report to the Team Leader of Insurance Claims.
Our CFS Claims Insurance team is responsible for the submissions of insurance claims through to our insurer for assessment. In addition to this we are responsible for the end to end management of Unit Trust Deceased Estate settlements and assessment of early release of super under the provisions of Permanent Incapacity and Terminal Illness.
Your Responsibilities
- Working through death claims across Unit Trust products serviced by Colonial First State and processing new claims and issue the relevant claims kit to members and to the insurer
- Communicate every step of the claims process to customers, ensuring they feel informed, supported, and confident throughout.
- Foster strong, trust-based relationships with both customers and third-party stakeholders, creating a network of collaboration and understanding.
- Review, assess and follow up on documents, making sure that every decision aligns with legal standards and company values.
- Answer all queries expertise and compassion, ensuring swift processing of payments to finalise each claim with precision and care.
Your Capability and Experience
- You are an empathetic individual who is naturally able to support customers through their toughest moments, making them feel heard, valued, and prioritised every step of the way.
- You will also display strong stakeholder relationship building skills, able to keep all parties informed during the claims process.
- Ability to understand and solve complex problems.
- Attention to detail and quality assurance.
- Ability to prioritise and address multiple conflicting requirements.
- Relevant tertiary qualification or previous experience within the insurance industry or managing Death claims will be highly valued.
