Why Work for Marsh?

Working at Marsh means joining a team of diverse professionals across the globe, dedicated to helping clients manage some of the world’s most challenging and complex risks. Our rich history has created a client service culture that is second to none. In order to provide our clients with world class services we help colleagues grow through a number of learning and development programs.

Our People

We attract a diverse mix of talents from all over the world and our culture serves as a powerful reflection of this. We are a family of exceptionally talented colleagues who thrive on creativity, forward-thinking and giving back. We are a global workforce energized and united by a common purpose: making a difference in the moments that matter – for our clients, our communities and our world.

Inclusivity at Marsh

Our company’s greatest strength is the collective talent of our people. Our commitment to diversity is critical for attracting talented people, serving clients, and generating creative business solutions. Marsh is dedicated to finding innovative ways to strengthen our ability to recruit, retain, and support a diversity of culture globally. We believe that inclusion means more than acceptance – it means belonging. We seek to provide a workplace where colleagues feel valued and are embraced for their differences, uniqueness, and individuality.

Women’s Resource Groups

Women’s networks play a pivotal role in accelerating the path to leadership and expanding access to flexible schedules and family benefits at every level.

Women and Allies at Marsh

The 'Women & Allies at Marsh' (WAM) Colleague Resource Group has set on a mission to advance women's careers at Marsh by creating a more equitable inclusive workplace, where gender is not a barrier to fulfilling careers or personal aspirations.

The group supports colleagues by celebrating and showcasing diverse talent, creating networking opportunities, driving practical training and partnering with not-for-profit organisations. This year, WAM ran an entire week of events globally around the International Women’s day theme ‘Choose to Challenge,’ where they celebrated the diversity within the organisation and partnered with industry experts to enhance internal capability. WAM is a proud supporter of the charity ‘Share the Dignity’.

Marsh is a proud member of the Australian Network on Disability (AND). Partnering with AND helps us to create an inclusive workforce and reflect the community in which we operate. You can learn more about AND here:

"I am a leader of the Energy and Power team at Marsh, aka Marsh JLT Specialty and I am a working Mum.  I have enjoyed my 27 year career at Marsh – an organisation that has facilitated many challenging and exciting opportunities to grow and develop skills, interact with diverse people and see the world.  Broking is incredibly competitive and this has allowed me to further come into my own as I coach my teams to meet the needs of our clients and the market. "Throughout my career as a broker, I have worked for a number of different organisations, public & private, large & small, and when I joined Marsh in 2013, I still felt this was a male dominated industry. However, at only 33 years of age, was approached to become the State Executive for Marsh in the NT and more recently, Corporate Commercial Leader for Qld. From there, I have experienced Marsh’s commitment to Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) which is evident in opportunities that are available for all colleagues. I am the Chairperson for our Reconciliation Action Plan, and a committee member for our I&D and Mental Health @ Marsh Resource Groups. The organisation has made a commitment to shifting the conversation and importantly, supporting all our colleagues, clients and Communities."
