By joining the Tech team, you’ll be an integral part of building our all-in-one business management platform.
About the role
You will join the Pathway Engineering team, building and maintaining MYOB's default platforms for CI/CD ,Secure Code management and Secure artifact management.
Our customers are the technology teams in MYOB, and our platform allows them to deploy code to production quickly, securely and reliably. We work closely with them, adding features as their needs evolve, debugging their problems and supporting them through training and collaboration.
As a Senior team member, you will use your leadership capabilities to help uplift the teams technical strength, influence the platform direction, and uplift the developer experience for all MYOB technology teams.
The skills you'll need
- Proficient in one of the key public clouds, ideally AWS, including Infrastructure as Code technologies and processes.
- Confident in software development. We use Go, Python and Bash predominantly, and will happily support you to learn these.
- Cloud Infrastructure provisioning tools (e.g. AWS CloudFormation/CDK).
- Experience with using systems in Linux environments.
- Experience running a robust production platform using operational constructs such as Serverless and containerisation (Docker).
- Experience using a modern CI/CD tooling suite, with knowledge of Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment best practices.
- Proven experience mentoring other engineers and supporting their growth in their role.
It would be a bonus to have knowledge of:
- Common tools we use: Buildkite, GitHub, GitHub Actions.
- Operating a monitoring stack and experience in diagnosing problems during incidents.
- Relationship building with vendors to understand how we can best leverage their tooling.
