Rio Tinto External Apprentice Program - Mechanical
Would you like to earn whilst you learn? Would you like to complete a four year Apprentice Program with a major mining company?
We are looking for talented people who are eager to join our company in 2021 to learn and develop through our unique Apprenticeship Program. Opportunities are on offer for multiple roles including:
Mechanical Fitter (FIFO)
Mechanical Fitter (residential at Cape Lambert)
Mechanical Fitter (residential at Tom Price)
Mechanical Fitter (residential in Dampier)
Mechanical Fitter (residential in Paraburdoo)
Mobile Equipment Maintenance (FIFO)
Our exciting apprenticeship programs are specially designed to deliver the high standard of learning required to gain a trade qualification. As an apprentice with us, our four year program will give you on-the-job experience at one of our Pilbara iron ore operations, whilst working towards a nationally recognised qualification.
To be eligible for this opportunity you must:
- Have the right to work in Australia.
- Hold a current C class manual drivers licence with a minimum of red ‘P’ plates by June 2021.
As part of the application process you must complete all pre-screening questions (it will be here that you can specify your preference in which discipline andyou would like to be considered and whether you are interested in FIFO or Residential) and you will also be required to complete on-line assessments as part of the selection process. This role is for applicants residing in or willing to permanently relocate to Western Australia. Rio Tinto offers Fly-In, Fly-Out options from Perth, our regional FIFO hubs and the opportunity to live in our residential towns where applicable.
