ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a Permanent position on a 9 day-fortnight roster, DIDO from our Boddington Bauxite Mine, is located a short drive from the community of Boddington (10 minutes), Pinjarra (50 minutes) and the City of Mandurah (1 hour).
As the Specialist Improvement, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of key production and improvement opportunities across the mining supply chain as well as track and report on production and financial metrics.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Accountable for initiation, alignment, and establishment of BBM Mine Production improvement pipeline (Worsley Business Plan, Ideation Sessions, etc.)
- Analyses key production and financial performance metrics to inform decision making and identify cost saving/improvements opportunities.
- Lead problem solving/ideation sessions for Mine Production challenges/bottlenecks.
- Develops minor CAPEX project IAR for the Execution teams and provides required support for CAPEX projects delivery.
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Strong data analytics abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
- Strong conceptual thinking and data visualisation skills with practical alignment to reality.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with excellent stakeholder engagement in positions of influence.
Qualifications for this position are:
- Tertiary qualifications in data analytics, engineering, geosciences, business, finance, or other relevant discipline.
- Experience in open pit mine environment (preferable).
