The opportunity:

Reporting to the Director -Delivery & Growth Markets ANZ; the Project Controls Specialist will work across multiple SYSTRA work packages, with provision for schedule, cost, quality and contract management, risk and progress reporting. This role will be responsible for developing, monitoring and managing a baseline schedule against progress (including resource profiles and requirements). The Project Controls Specialist will support the Project Controls Manager in preparing and reporting financial and progress updates and contribute to monthly reports and project reviews.

Your new role:

  • Provide Support in updating the Project Schedule in Primavera P6 based on most recent update received from the Work Package Leads
  • Prepare detailed project reports providing financial and progress updates (burn rate, Cost Performance Index - CPI, Schedule Performance Index - SPI, Issues, risks etc..)
  • Support in developing tools and preparing resourcing forecast for the quarterly resource review
  • Support in reporting schedule update to the Alliance Leads on different format (Plan-on-a Page, Visboard reporting)
  • Update and monitor Change control table with most recent contractual and commercial information
  • Maintain and update the Project Control Sheets to align with the Change Control table
  • Ensure, on a weekly basis, that the time booked by the team is correctly reported into the Project booking system and provide a timesheet summary to the Project Controls Manager, WPL, and Project Director including number of hours booked to tasks, Actuals vs Budget.
  • Work with Finance team to make sure that bookings are aligns with the corporate timesheet system
  • Prepare Payment Approval Forms (PAF), on a monthly basis for the different client services

Required experience & skills:

  • Bachelor's degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline; Project Management Certification/chartership is desirable.
  • 5-7 years' experience in project controls preferably within the rail or transport sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in using P6 Professional 18 (3 years minimum experience).
  • Proven ability to maintain all project controls.
  • Solid experience of multidisciplinary coordination and project management.
  • Proven abilities to build sound working relationships across diverse groups internally and externally.
